Smoke tree in snow!
This snow has been pretty awesome! It's wet and sticky - of course this means we'll probably lose power -but I'm okay with that. I have lots of warm clothes and my camping equipment!
It is beautiful, but it's the heaviest snow I've ever moved in my life. The snow banks are about 4.5 feet high now! As for losing power, on Thursday the snow was piling up on the trees and making the branches sag. There were quite a few trees that toppled over from the weight. And if you get a tree in the right place that either falls over or drops a branch on a power line - we lose power. We've had some wicked storms over the years that have taken the power out for thousands of people for a week or more. It's crazy! Do the pictures of snow make you feel cooler in the heat of Australia?
